Synopsis English

Jeon Jin Ho is a straight guy who pretends to be gay in order to become Park Kae In's roommate. His hobbies include organization and ironing, and he’s known for his stoic poker face. Storyline

‘City Hunter’ is an original script based on the world-famous novel by Japan’s Tsukasa Hojo. Since it became public that Korea would be the first remake of this story into a drama, ‘City Hunter’ has been receiving worldwide attention. ‘City Hunter’ has switched the setting from Tokyo 1980 to Seoul 2011, and according to the original story structure, the protagonist becomes a city hunter and his character develops while resolving gratifying cases.

Lee Yoon Sung (Lee Min Ho) works at the Blue House’s National Communication Network Team and received his Ph.D at M.I.T. Kim Na Na (Park Min Young), a former judo athlete who works as a bodyguard for the President’s residence, the Blue House. Kim Na Na will eventually be involved in a love triangle with Lee Yoon Sung and prosecutor Lee Joon Hyuk (Kim Young Joo). The drama also marks Goo Ha Ra’s acting debut and she will play the role of the President’s daughter, Choi Da Hye.

Three months before the presidential nominating convention, Jang Il Joon, from the New Wave Party, declared his candidacy. On that same day, a woman died in a gas explosion in Sam Chuk. Yoo Min Ki, a documentary producer, heard of his mother's sudden death and headed back home. As he cast his mother's ashes in the sea, he thought of his childhood: his father always blurted out that Min Ki was not his son whenever he was drunk. After the funeral, Min Ki returned to Seoul and Jang Il Joon asked Min Ki to work as a PR agent to record the election campaign process. 3 bulan sebelum pengumuman kandidat capres, Jang Il-Joon, dari Partai Aliran Baru, mengumumkan dirinya sebagai calon. Di hari yg sama ada seorang wanita yg tewas karena ledakana gas di Sam-Chuk. Ada dugaan kalo pencalonan Jang Il Joon berhubungan dengan kejadian itu. Di lain sisi, Ha Min-Ki, seorang produser dokumentr mendengar kalau ibunya tiba2 meninggal dan langsung menuju Sam-Chuk. Selama perjalanan, dia teringat masa kecilnya, dimana sang ayah selalu mengigau kalau dia bukanlah anak kandung ayahnya setiap kali mabuk. Min kI mempercayainyakarena ibnya selalu menangis kalau sedang melihat sebuah foto jadul seorang pria.Min-Ki pun akhirnya tau kalau foto itu hilang ketika dia beberes benda2 milik ibunya. Setelah pemakaman Min-Ki kembali ke Seoul dan Jang Il-Joon memintta Min Ki menjadi humas untuk mencatat proses pemilu.
